Carleigh’s own voice was captured singing her songs near the end of her life, thanks to her friends Lissa Callirhoe and Harlan Van Camp. They also had the music transcribed – see below for printable copies of these songs - feel free to copy and distribute. Sister Deborah Hoff later rounded up and recorded some of Carleigh’s friends in Connecticut singing the songs too, as another way to facilitate learning the songs, and spread them further. Jackie Trimble Shapiro plays the melody on flute first for many of the cuts, and she and Evelyn Avoglia and Deborah Hoff are the voices, with help from sister Leslie Hogan, and the Women’s Drumming Circle in the New Haven, CT area. Son Leif Holt made a new graphics file (above) of Carleigh’s sculptures for the CD cover. The CD came out well! in part because the songs are sweet and really moving. It’s about 30 minutes long, with all the lyrics printed inside and on the back. They can be purchased for $10 + $3 shipping costs – discounts for larger orders available. Please send an email HERE if you wish to order the CD. Payment can be arranged by check, OR through Paypal, which handles both personal Paypal accounts AND major credit cards AND debit cards securely on-line.
