 Angel of Compassion |
This Guardian Angel was created for my real-life Guardian Angel, my dear friend Nancy. So naturally the angel must have an unshakable Buddha nature and the wisdom that comes from a life well lived, as well as the ageless aura of peace. The need for Compassion from the open heart was never so clear as the week of September 11, when this angel was finally coming to completion. The music of OM SANCTUARY played constantly in my studio, saturating us both with its healing vibrations. This angel was sculpted in polymer, with wool hair, poseable armature and soft body. Her over-kimono is an irridescent nylon, belt tie of white and gold brocade. Her mala beads are irridescent glass and crystal, her removeable fabric wings are cut and painted with subtle irridescent hues. She stands on a base painted with the pattern of the lotus flower.
